The Backup procedures stalls with message (translated from Dutch) "Input/output error backup device". X12 is formatted in Linux and contains mostly Flac and High resolution files.
Capacity is 2T and used space just under 600.000 (+/- 1600 albums and +/- 20000 songs). Does anybody know how to solve this?

Quite frankly x12 isn't supported in the UK so we don't know the software - so I can't be 100% certain my soln would be apt.
1. Stop the backup, check the musicBD for errors & also check the backup drive is well formatted.
2. Perhaps you could do a manual dump over a network ? :idea: :)

I've tried but my Mac doesn't recognise the Linux HDD in Disk utility application. When I connect via a cable network connection, a manual dump is blocked to copy to SSD although I could select all songs.
As I mentioned my database is a mix from Flac files, HigRes and a few Mp3s, but does Cocktail audio or Novafidelity accept a mixed Database for backup?

Yep mac doesn't do much ...
You can backup any files, the formats aren't important, just make sure you have the media files safe for importing when required.
