A new X30 firmware update appeared in March 2016 - are there any notes to tell me of the changes? I set out to make a backup and was asked whether I wanted to make a 'background backup'. What is a background backup? Needless to say after recent experience with backup (and the loss of all music), I didn't pursue it.

Can anyone provide any insight into the March 2016 firmware update?

And, how about an email to users outlining any firmware changes - before they appear on my X30?

Very good update, some nice features like more dedicated music streaming suppliers and Podcasts. The ability to adjust line level between different sources.Backup was no problem. (I did the full rather than the background method)

Bertie Bacon. Thanks for the link to the firmware update notes. Both the updates and the notes appear to be very useful. I didn't know that notes were posted on Cocktail's official site - thanks for that information.

The ability to equalise volume levels for different outputs is a very useful tool as is the Background backup facility.

Lots of positives. The only negative I have encountered is that the quality of the images from allcdcovers is now terrible via the web interface. This is more than offset by having Google working again though.

Agree with lots of positives. I have found that on FM radio the lower range of seek is above the range that BBC Radio 2 broadcasts on. Not a great inconvenience as I can listen on internet radio.

Google searching via the web interface for the X30 seems to have broken again

I have just updated my X30 with the R0118 firmware and the FM RDS text no longer seems to display as it did before. I have set the region correctly (Europe) and re-scanned. Stations are found with the correct names but no scrolling text. I've tried RDS on and off options with the same result. Does anyone have any ideas?
