Hallo,

I recently acquired an x-14 and am having issues with connectivity.
I confirmed that all my wired and wireless connections are registered in the start up menus.
I cant seem to confirm connection to the internet

The firmware is version is r1681 and update does not connect for anything newer.
It has a 1 TB sshd.

I am concerned that there may not be a music database or that it was never used or possibly erased.
I'm able to rip cd's to its memory, but none of the album art or artist and track info is present and must be entered manually.

I know that it reportedly came with Gracenote originally, but there is no way to subscribe.

Finally, I tried to use the Neo X phone app, but the device does not show up to select.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is not an official cocktail audio UK device; so we don't support this kit or have the software to fix bugs.
You have to contact the seller you purchased from ...
have you tried factory reset or testing wired or checking the IP address is accurately assigned?

Since nobody else is giving an actual response I'll try. the x14 recently had a major firmware update to 1681, which has caused some major changes and problems. These have not really been addressed yet in anything I have read.
You have to activate Gracenote, after which it works for two years. If your unit is second hand, it may be beyond the two year period, or maybe it's never been activated at all? You can download a manual online to see how to do this. After two years, you can pay 5 Euros a year to continue with Gracenote. What I do is to rip the CD on my computer, as this normally picks up all the relevant album art, tags, etc, and then I load it onto the x14 via USB. A good programme to rip with is db poweramp.
The neo x app does not work for me. It connects to the router OK, but is unstable, more or less useless really. There was a very good web interface for PC, but that stopped working with the 1681 firmware. I have been told that there will be a new web interface app sometime in the Autumn.
Some of the Cocktail Audio hardware seems to come under one company, and some under another, Novatron. It is all very confusing.
