I have several pieces of music with the same title, e.g. "Stabat Mater" by Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Bononcini and Domenico Scarlatti. I cannot find a way of saving them as separate albums, the X10 DB keeps crunching them together because they have the same album title, even though the artist (the composer) is different and specified for each one.

How do I have four separate "Stabat Maters" one for each composer?

Why not edit the tags (via ALBUM) for example:

Arvo Pärt - Stabat Mater
Giovanni Pergolesi - Stabat Mater
Gioachino Rossini - Stabat Mater
..........

For example:
Title: Stabat Mater dolorosa....luxta crucem
Artist: LSO/Christophe Rousset/Gioachino Rossini
Album: Stabat Mater - Rossini
Year: 2009
Genre:Hymns/Orchestral....

This way the album will not point to other tracks.....
The point is to be aware of the tag info (metadata) before ripping the album.
You can just the web-interface or X10 menu to rename or merger/"un-merger".

One can have an opus by different conductors & composers.
You just need to structure it well, else similar names to be grouped together.

Actually, you need a fifth - the one by Rossini is a fantastic work!
