Thanks for that, I’ll re-install the Firmware first as you advise, if that makes no differnce maybe a new SSD,

No need, just purchase a new HDD no need for SSD, waste of money.

SSd's only store data statically which is better but it won't make any difference in an x10.
Also i have many hdd that have done better than an expensive ssd i've wasted money on...
Hdds are good for storing large files & for holding photos, videos & music.
Unless you are doing some heavy processing of data on a server or PC like devices, i won't bother.
Many ssd don't last, just read online you will see....
