The database has the annoying habit of assuming that any two albums with the same title must be the same work. Again with classical music this is not the case. Many, many composers have a Symphony No 4 for example. So it is annoying to discover that they have all been bundled into the same album.

One work round is to put the full tile - key signature, reference number, etc - but I would have thought that already entering a different artist (conductor/orchestra/performer) and a different composer would be enough.

I think you have to check before you rip & do not merge...

I think the only options are to merge the two or not rip the album at all. You can't rip two albums with the same name. It happened to me the other day too, and I had to append the artist name to the album name to get past it.
