X10 Question.
I have noticed on a few occasions when playing my music through my X10 some tracks fail to play out before another starts. This does not happen all the time and not to the same tracks, it is as if they were not recorded correctly but try as I may I cannot work this one out. Some help and advice please.

Are these files ripped or downloaded from server or streaming service etc?
Looks like an encoding or file could be having issues playing at some point, could also be the HDD.
Digital files could be funny on different players & software...

Some are downloaded some are ripped, only a few do this.

With digital files, depending on the encoding, could sometimes behave "glitchy" when played.
Does not necessary mean the files are problematic but could be the speed of the HDD, software, player, bitrate, library source, protocol, network speed, or even OS etc
I would try & stick to popular formats like flac as those are open source & supported rather than apple based or even mp3, however one doesn't always have the choice.
Another thing could be a delay in playing especially if playing from a server or a NAS on a network.
As long as the files aren't corrupted i wouldn't bother, just have occasional backups just in case the NAS or HDD fails.
If it happens all the time, you could swap the HDD or play from another source to narrow the fault.
