Hi,

I already have an X-10 and a popular wireless system but the wireless system has annoyed me on and off for a while. Having come back to the forum I've seen the new BF-11. Can anyone tell me if the BF-11 integrates with the X-10 allowing simultaneous playback on both devices, or even the X-10 and multiple BF-11s?

Thanks

Andy

The BF-11 is designed as a single playback renderer that can connect to a PC, smart phone, server, NAS ...
It is more as a single kit than a multi/simultaneous type.
For example i use it at my study to listen to radio via an APP (or bluetooth sometimes), NAS (music library), stream from my laptop songs/radio (playlist) to it & so forth.
It also supports bluetooth & AUX so there are other options.
Going back to your question, i think you can stream your X10 but you will need an app that can select multiplt clients/DMR.
The APP that comes with it allows the user to select the source (eg Music Library) & them the Renderer (BF-11) on your network.
I use the WIFI Music, Bubble Upnp, All Connect or my laptop to send the songs to the BF11 wirelessly including radio BBC 4.
(Much better as a single wireless source)

Thanks for your response.

It seems a pity that while the BF-11 does have an interesting mix of features, there's no cohesion with the rest of their range, and so it runs the risk of being lost in an already crowded marketplace.

As already mentioned, I'd sell my Sonos if the X-10 and BF-11 worked together nicely.

I don't think it was made for the cocktail devices else it would be limited.
The best thing is that it can be used with many devices too.
I have one too, works with any devices, more flexible IMHO.
I have a Qobus account so i just stream, plus my library on my NAS etc.
Not a sonos but inexpensive and packed with features light for a study or kitchen :)
The only issue is the wifi signal can be a bit fidgety (wps) sometimes but when it connects it is great with or without a network.
