I ran Recovery last night (first time with Firmware 1754) and something odd happened.

All albums were moved into the recovery file and emptied from the music DB. I imported the albums from the recovery folder (took over an hour) and everything seems to work OK. However all the albums now have a numerical prefix eg. [nnnn] Album name. Some of the posts here hint it this an issue with the latest Firmware, but I can't find anything specific.

This numbering is not much use if you are trying to sort alphabetically or look for an album by is first letter!

What is the easiest/safest way way of deleting these numerical prefixes? The only two options I can think of are

a. Use the web GUI and rename each album individually (could take days)
b. Go into MusicDB through my PC and rename each album folder (but I seem to remember its not wise to edit the DB this way)

I notice all the tracks now have a track number as a suffix, but I'm not too bothered about that.

There is no firmware...1753/1754 (that is why cocktail audio removed the stuff)
I would revert to R1692 & wait for the update fix next week i think :)

I had a similar experience - three times! You can see my post under "Recovery wipes database" which includes the report that version 1754 was buggy. I have had no problems since reverting to version 1692.
